We headed to Springfield (Ohio) to close on the old house. We managed to hook a buyer out of Texas of all places, and he was tickled to get it. We did not get near what we wanted but we did get out from under a monstrous payment and makes my retirement budget doable. I hope the new owner enjoys the house as much as we did.
On our way to the closing office, precisely at noon, the radio station played the National Anthem. My excellent half and I both went silent while we listened to it. As usual the music brings a warm feeling to my heart. And, like the song does at times, it made me misty-eyed. I thought about what our country is going through and I said a silent prayer for all of us. I don’t know who thought up playing the anthem at noon but I am grateful they do that.
Take care all.
